Forum Rules
Updated 07/15/2010
Our rules of conduct are defined in the Terms and Conditions, but here is an outline. Depending on the extend in which a member has violated these rules, the post will be deleted, the account will be deleted, or the IP will be banned. Strikeforce reserves the right to determine what actions count as a violation. We may modify or add to these rules at any time. It is your responsibility to review these rules on a regular basis.
1. Age: Members under the age of 13 are not allowed to register for a username. If we discover that you are under 13 and already have an account, your account will be deleted.
2. Post Content: The general rule of thumb is to Keep it PG-13. This means no pornographic material, strong language, gross-out images, content about illegal drugs, or overly violent material. We realize the nature of mixed martial arts can be violent, but be sensible.
While on the Strikeforce website, you may not transmit (upload, post, share, store, create) any content that is unlawful, harmful, vulgar, harassing, obscene, fraudulent, hateful, threatening, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
3. Flaming/Trolling: Do not harass other members. We encourage constructive debates about Strikeforce and MMA, but personal attacks are not allowed.
4. Bashing: Do not attack fighters, promotions, or the like.
5. Spamming: Do not post the same thread multiple times with the purpose of increasing visibility. The Strikeforce forum is a small community and spam is a waste of space.
6. Advertising: Do not post with the purpose of selling buying, or trading products or services. Posting affiliate links will result in your IP being banned.
7. Personal Information: Do not disclose your own or any other member's personal information. This includes their real name, email address, phone number, home address, IP address, or any other identifying information.
8. Copyrighted Content: Do not post any copyrighted material. Generally, anything you find online is copyrighted. Instead of posting images or embedding videos, we prefer that you include a link you can assume that anything you find online is copyrighted. Posting videos from recent MMA events will result in an IP ban. Posting download links to software, videos, music, or any other copyrighted files will result in an IP ban.
9. Identity Fraud: Do not pretend to be anyone you're not. All regular members have a "member" title. Strikeforce officials have a "Strikeforce official" title. Official fighters have a "Strikeforce fighter" title. Any other individual of importance will probably have a custom member title. Check the member title if you are unsure.
10. Post Counts: All new members must post at least ten times before they are allowed to create their own thread.
